Story Board and Preparation

The important of movie is the good preparation before we execute the process. The preparation always holds the key of the successful of a movie. A good preparation includes idea, story, and also technical preparations. Those are the hardest part to determine and need lots of effort to make it real. A story board is important as the part of executing a movie. Other than story board, there is a story line and also script which will hold the sum of the idea of the story that we will made. Those three components is really important for movie making, they are like the structure of the whole movie, like bones in our body.

Story board is the sum of the story that we will produce. A story board holds the key of the story appearance, they are drawing of the whole story. We make story board in order to figure out what kind of scene that we will shoot. Story board often make easier to execute a movie production because it holds the key to which scene is now and which scene is next. A good story board should sum up the whole movie scene, not only one scene, but with different shoot angle of one scene. when we make a story board, we already prepare on how we will shoot the scene, a close up, a wide screen, a front, a back, or other else. Those will useful during the movie editing, since we already have tons of angle and we can easier choose which one is the best part, which one is not too blurry or etc.

The next is story line and script. Story line is almost the same as story board, the different is only on the shape and how it tell the story. Story line comes in word and it is more likely a story of the summary of the story we will create. Story board comes in drawing, story line comes in word describing the story board. And it very helpful to get the detail on the scene that we will shoot. Story should have script, script functions help the actor or actress to act according the scenes. Somehow, script contains lots of dialogue for the actor or actress and in animation process scrip contain the line that dubber should follow and should dub. A script holds the key of giving the sense of life in the movie. A good script not too exaggerated not too humble, but it is precise and clear.

In the conclusion, all of the aspect of preparations holds the key for executing a movie or animation. Preparations are important in order to get everything clear since the beginning and to make the executing process smoother. Story board, story line, script, and other should be done by the teams. Discussing is important in order to gain more ideas and perspectives. Preparations of a movie should be able to bring a good result, a good preparation will lead into good result.
